Biographic Summary

Founder and  Partner, Matt Mercer, represents a variety of clients, including small business owners, entrepreneurs, creditors, materialmen, multi-state corporations, homeowners, landlords, consumers, and individuals, with a variety of legal needs. Mr. Mercer has both jury and bench trial experience and has successfully tried and won court cases in several states. He has over two decades of experience representing clients in trials and on contract law & business law matters. Mr. Mercer passed the Bar Exam in 4 states and has been continuously practicing law and trying cases for over 22 years. 
Matt Mercer has a great deal of experience drafting contracts for various businesses across many different industries and has negotiated contract terms and conditions, business sale deals, and legal matters for many years. As an attorney representing businesses in commercial collection cases, he has recovered millions upon millions of dollars for clients in cash and property. 
For over 5 continuous years, now, he has been the radio show host of Matt Mercer LIVE! on NEWS 104.5 WOKV FM, broadcasting in 100,000 watts from the Cox Media Group studios in Jacksonville, Florida.   He continues to host the hour-long radio show on WOKV here in 2024.  Starting back in 2009 and continuing for over 4 years, Matt hosted the Friday morning radio show, "The Matt Mercer Show - Helping You Make Sense Out of the Law," broadcast locally on both AM and FM stations. From 2013 to 2015, he hosted Matt Mercer LIVE! on AM600 The Answer (WBOB) and 100.3 FM, out of Jacksonville, Florida.  
Matt Mercer previously served as an adjunct faculty member at Flagler College Business School teaching Business Law (a student Mr. Mercer selected as Top Student in his Business Law course for a particular semester later went on to appear on the nationally-syndicated gameshow, Jeopardy! starring Alex Trebek). Matt served on the Board of Governors of St. Johns Academy Private School and served as its president from 2016-2017.  He is regularly asked to serve as Mock Trial Judge, presiding over legal cases put on by students acting as lawyers and witnesses, using the state high school mock trial curriculum. Matt also serves as judge over student Debate competitions.   
Matt is an aviation enthusiast and VFR-rated airplane pilot. He loves Tesla automobiles, is a Christian and regularly attends church where he  taught Sunday school for over four years.

Liz Kutch, Partner

Biographic Summary

Partner Liz Kutch represents a variety of clients, including small business owners, entrepreneurs, creditors, materialmen, multi-state corporations, homeowners, landlords, consumers, and individuals, with a variety of legal needs. Attorney Kutch has both Courtroom trial and Arbitration trial experience, and she passed the Bar Exam in 4 states. Attorney Kutch handles most solar disputes and moving company disputes for our firm, in addition to many other types of court cases and transactions. Prior to joining the firm, she was a staff attorney for a judge for several years. Now in her sixth year with Mercer Kutch Law Firm, Attorney Kutch's tremendous impact on both prosecuting and defending civil claims for clients through trials, mediations, and negotiated settlements has allowed her to protect, secure, and promote client interests to the tune of millions of dollars in money & property, making Liz Kutch highly sought after by clients.  

 During law school she represented clients as a student attorney for the University of Denver’s Environmental Law Clinic. She also worked as a research assistant for esteemed and belated Professor Federico Cheever.




In addition to her practice responsibilities, Liz supervises two (2) additional Attorneys for Mercer Kutch Law Firm.  In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She also likes skiing, mountain biking, and travel.
